Happy Year of the Rat to all!
Actually, this is the Year of the Earth Rat (I am Metal) but close enough.
I want to thank everyone who contacted me about work last September. I have been busy since then and at times, not very sociable, but as of Friday, I have a break between contracts and look forward to the next project--whatever it may be. The truth is, I try to start over every day and am kind of addicted to new beginnings. My enterprising grandfather is probably responsible for this restlessness. (Happy Birthday Gramps. I miss you.)
Also, I want to share a February byline in the Downtown St. Paul Voice. This community paper pretty much defines the boundaries of my corporeal world, so if you're in the neighborhood, pick up a copy and validate proof of my existence :)
That's a little bit more than I asked of you last Fall, so in return, I'll leave you with these couplets for the upcoming lunar eclipse on February 20:
A clay red lump of moon unmasked, unlit,
Hung low in space time cold of lunar writ.
Dim sphere of song intone, invoke the light.
Flood shadowed grace heartfelt with solar sight.
Write soon. XO Tina
